How do I earn points?

Become a member, purchase items, get points!

Merchandise and Textbooks: 1 point for every $1.00 spent (1 point = $0.02)

Laptops: 1 point for every $10 spent.

How do I accrue points?
When checking out in-store, be sure to let your cashier know you’re a loyalty program member. When shopping online, login to your account before checking out.  

How do I use points?
In-store: let your cashier know you are a loyalty member and whether you want to use use your points or accrue them. If you choose to use your points, all points must be used.
Online: On the payment page, click the Loyalty Points drop down and enter in the amount of points you want to use. Online allows for the partial or full use of points. 

When are points available to use?
Points earned will post to your account 30 days after a purchase. You can use available points to reduce the price of your current purchase, or you can accumulate points. 

Do my points expire?
Points expire three (3) years from the day your points become available.

What if I want to return an item and I used my points?
Bookstore Bucks that are redeemed on purchases are non-refundable. If you used points to pay for a portion of a purchase, points spent toward your purchase will not be credited back to your account. However, you’ll be refunded any money paid.

What if I earn points on an item I later return?
Any points earned on a purchase will be removed if the item is returned.

Can I transfer points?
Points are non-transferable

Are there items I can’t use my points on when checking out?
Points cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards.

We reserve the right to exclude any items from redeeming or earning points without notice.

We reserve the right to cancel the loyalty program at any time and for any reason; at which time unredeemed points become invalid.

We reserve the right to remove participants from the loyalty program if it is found that the program is being misused.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to join the loyalty program; however, points cannot be accrued on department or inner account transactions.

How to Register for Bookstore Bucks

In Store:

1. At the register, let the cashier know you want to sign up for Bookstore Bucks
   1. You can sign up without purchasing anything or you can sign up when you are checking out!
2. Check your balance by going to bookstore.jccc.edu and logging in
   1. Once Logged in, click “View Loyalty Account Information”

Online:

1. Go to bookstore.jccc.edu and click “Login”
   1. Login in with your JCCC credentials
      1. Once logged in click “Update your Profile” and
      2. Scroll down to Bookstore Bucks and click “Yes”
      3. Click “Submit Profile”
         
         
   2. Or click “I do not have an account”
      1. Then click “Create Profile”
      2. Fill out the form and click “yes” for Bookstore Bucks
      3. Click “Submit Profile”
2. Once you have opted in, view your point balance from your login home page by clicking “View Loyalty Account Information”
