General Purchase Policy Information

Unless specified, all products at the JCCC Bookstore are available to the general public for purchase. The following information is not a complete listing of all exempt products; as certain purchases may be tied to enrollment status. Please contact the Bookstore for further details.

Healthcare Products

Healthcare products such as goggles, medical products and program clothing are restricted to their respective programs.

Cosmetology Products

Cosmetology, Esthetician and Dental Hygiene kits are for their respective programs and are to be ordered in advance. Contact your program office for deadline dates.
Resupplies for kits may be purchased at the Bookstore; please call (913) 469-8500 x3977 for more information.

Computer and Software Purchase

The availability of academically priced computers and software is made possible through an agreement between educational institutions and computer manufacturers. Offering computers at academic prices requires JCCC to follow strict guidelines established by the computer manufacturers.

You must:

  • be a student enrolled in the current semester at JCCC or another accredited college-level institution; or

  • be a current faculty member of an accredited institution at the high school or college level; or

  • be a current staff member of Johnson County Community College

You are responsible for providing documentation to confirm their academic status as required by the JCCC Bookstore.

Forms of acceptable identification:

  • Valid current JCCC student ID

  • Valid current college student ID

  • Paid tuition receipt with photo ID

  • JCCC business card with photo ID

You are restricted to the purchase of one copy of any given software title per academic year (July 1st to June 30th), except in those cases where a new version, release or edition becomes available.

You agree that the primary use of the software is for private, educational and/or home use. Other use may invalidate license agreements.

You are responsible for appropriate registration of the product with the manufacturer.

Continuing Education Students

Purchases may be made 24 hours prior to the published start of your class, through the published class date and up to 24 hours after the published class date with photo ID.

The last day to change your rental books into a purchase and only pay the difference between them is November 15! 

Spring term books will be available online starting November 19. In-store books will be available December 10. Starting November 19- January 8, get an Early Bird Discount on your textbooks and FREE shipping on online orders! No code or coupon necessary, just add your textbooks and course materials to your cart.
